The Intouro interurban bus sets a new benchmark in terms of flexibility, functionality, efficiency and safety. This absolute all-rounder offers the full range of operation options: a practical raised-floor bus with luggage compartment suitable for regular service, school bus, shuttle bus or comfortable coach.
Two new safety features are essential for passenger safety inside and outside the bus.
The new Active Brake Assist 5 (ABA 5) is the first emergency braking system for buses worldwide that works with a combined radar and camera system. Within its limits, this optionally available assistance system can automatically execute a full-stop braking manoeuvre to bring the bus to a standstill. This avoids collisions with stationary or moving obstacles and pedestrians.

Another optionally available feature amongst the outstanding safety equipment is the Sideguard Assist. This radar-based turning assistance system includes pedestrian detection. It supports the driver primarily when making turns in urban areas and gives effective protection to more vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
